There may well be an exception to that ruleÔǪ.So a word to the wiseÔǪÔǪ The only thing you connect to the negative battery side of the shunt is the negative lead of the battery bank you are monitoring.I know many of you are saying ÔÇ£Duh!ÔÇØ But it would have been nice for the literature that came with the unit to spell that out.If you connect any negative cables to that side of the shunt, it throws everything off. But what they donÔÇÖt tell you, and what took me 3 days to figure out by trial and error is that you donÔÇÖt connect anything to the negative battery side of the shunt except the negative battery lead of the bank you are monitoring.I followed the wiring directions that came with the unit. It only took me 3 days of working on it to get the wiring figured out. I just finished correctly installing a new Xantrex LinkPRO battery monitor.
